Lane Kiffen Returns to USC to Become Its New Head Football Coach

Hours ago it was announced that Lane Kiffen will replace Pete Carroll as the head coach of the USC Trojans. This comes in the wake of Pete Carroll’s departure from USC over the weekend to accept a coaching position in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. Carroll reportedly will make $7 million as coach of the Seahawks. Kiffen, was a member of the USC coaching staff from 2001 until 2006 and was its offensive coordinator, when he left to coach the Oakland Raiders. He returns to USC after coaching at Tennessee for only one season.
